Asi Sharabi
CEO
Wonderbly
Following a short academic career (LSE, Social Psychology) in which he tried to get Israeli and Palestinian children to hate each other a bit less, Asi Sharabi moved on to build a career in everything digital: strategy, communications, marketing.
Then in 2013 he co-founded Wonderbly as a side project and a labour of love. The idea was simple and quietly radical: that a personalised book could be a genuine work of literature, not the novelty gift the category had always settled for. The world agreed. 13 million books and 193 countries later, Wonderbly had won Children's Publisher of the Year and changed what people believed a personalised book could be.
Asi will be the first to tell you that none of that was down to him. What he did do was build the kind of culture that attracted the kind of talent that took Wonderbly through three funding rounds, two exits, and eventually into the Penguin Random House family. Today, as CEO of Wonderbly Group, a house of distinctive brands on its way to £100M in revenue, he is still doing exactly that.
