Daan de Wever is co-founder and Group CEO of Dstny and board member and investor in various companies. His entrepreneurial journey began at the age of 21 with Belgian Network Solutions. After co-founding Infranea, he launched Destiny in 2008 together with his brother Samuel. What started as a Belgian telecom challenger has since grown into Dstny, a European player in cloud-based business communications.

From 2015 onwards, Dstny accelerated its international expansion through a combination of organic growth and an active buy-and-build strategy. Daan sees acquisitions not as a goal in themselves, but as a means to build scale and expertise. Today, Dstny is taking its next step, evolving towards an AI-first communications platform that brings together voice, data, automation and AI agents.

As an entrepreneur, Daan focuses on what it takes to move a company from one stage of growth to the next. Leadership, focus and building the right teams are central to his approach. He believes in sequential focus, knowing when to let go of responsibilities, and creating enough constructive friction within an organization.

Internationalisation, scaling, entrepreneurship and leadership are recurring themes throughout his journey and his perspective on the future of European technology companies.
